Outcomes and Quality Control

NIIOS Academy has been providing superior in-depth education in advanced lamellar keratoplasty since 2000. We are constantly on the lookout for ways to make our educational program even better.

Certification and Accreditation

Our wetlab courses usually receive European accreditation (CME) from the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME). CME credits are accepted in Europe and the United States.

NIIOS is registered with the Dutch register for short-term professional education, the Centraal Register Kort Beroeps Onderwijs (CRKBO).

How satisfied are participants in NIIOS Academy programs?

We evaluate all our NIIOS Academy educational activities using participant questionnaires. On average, participants award our programs an excellent score.

The average scores were (from 1 = extremely bad to 10 = extremely good):

• DMEK wetlab course for beginners: 9.4 in 2021
• Advanced Keratoconus wetlab course – introduction to Bowman layer transplantation: 9.5 in 2021
